DESCRIPTION: This Outremer 49 performance catamaran is a fast offshore cruising catamaran equipped with twin dagger-boards that greatly improves her windward sailing ability over other similar sized yachts. These powerful catamarans are renowned for their ability to take on whatever their owners, and the vast oceans they cross, throw at them.
She has the owners stateroom and accompanying ensuite dedicated to the entire port hull, and to starboard, you have guests and crew accommodation when required. Access around both external and internal spaces has been well thought out by designers and there is a flow through the yacht that shows her heritage. For the true sailing community out there, this yacht will fill the needs of both the enthusiast that likes some fun while sailing, as well as fitting the brief of being a very comfortable and safe cruising catamaran for their partners and guests. Her sailing systems are in a word, simple but very effective, having the furling self-tacking headsail, lazy-jacks and bag for the square top mainsail and furling code zero.
As an added bonus, sellers have agreed to have fresh anti-foul applied, new headsail fitted, and new factory supplied tramps fitted prior to any sale. This will stand her in good steed for continued cruising for the foreseeable future.

HULL: Foam/glass/polyester sandwich, infusion process used in the build.

DRAFT: Draws 0.8m boards up and 2.3m with the composite dagger boards down. Great upwind sailing catamaran.

KEEL/BALLAST: The yacht features deep dagger boards, raised from back in the cockpit via main winches.

ENGINE: Powered by twin Yanmar 3JH53 40hp diesel engines and on through to SD50 saildrives.
Engines are enclosed in bays that are accessed via large external deck hatches. Note they are not under berths.

FUEL: Two x 170lt tanks giving a total of 340lts. Baldwin fuel filters.

GENSET: Genet: The unit on the boat is a 3kva generator that delivers 230 v AC. It sits between the Yanmar flywheel and the Sail drive and came with the motor at the time the boat was built.

DINGHY: Hard bottom RIB.

OUTBOARD: Dinghy is fitted with Mercury 9.8hp outboard.

ANCHOR WINCH/GROUND TACKLE: Raising and lowering the anchor is done by the Quick electric winch with up and down foot buttons on deck. Fitted with a Gypsy that can be used to hoist the main if needed.
Dedicated chain locker located just forward of mast on centerline of vessel.

COVERS: Assorted. 

ACCOMMODATION: Stepping aboard via either of the wide scoops and up onto the deck level you transit forward along the deck to the cockpit entrance's. Two steps down into the cockpit and it is here you notice the very important design feature that has you on one level both in the cockpit and through to the saloon. Cockpit seating for at least 10 and a table to match, will make entertaining and relaxing aboard with friends and family, a very casual affair. There are three helm positions (one wheel to starboard and twin carbon tillers port or starboard) that are literally only an arms length from the cockpit action. No feeling isolated here while under way. Lockers under all seating in the cockpit make room for all manner of toys or cruising equipment. Quality cushions add to the comfort level here. Once you enter the saloon through the wide double opening companionway sliding doors you have the galley (more fully described below) to starboard and large front opening refrigeration units to port. Above the fridge/freezer there is a bench and storage lockers above here again. Saloon seating around the large timber table (drops down for another double berth) is in a beige colour and has room for seven without the addition of the portable seating arrangement available. Upholstery throughout the yacht is in very good condition. Saloon seating re-covered 08-2016. Storage below seating for dry stores. Timber fiddles and locker fronts complement the light coloured panelling here. To starboard of the saloon seating is the well laid out navigation station. Everything here is at hand and well within reach for the serious job at hand. Having near on 360* views out into the wider world from the saloon, adds to the overall ambience while under way in rough conditions or at anchor in your special place. Flooring panelling throughout is in a durable mid brown tone to highlight the lighter interior finishes. Stepping to starboard down the companionway into the guests accommodation and looking to the rear of the yacht, there is a dedicated shower inboard with quality European fittings, as you will also find in all wet areas. Moving aft into the rear double cabin, the berth is awthships and queen sized. Opening hatches here for ventilation and storage beneath bunk and to the side of the cabin. Moving forward from here and past the companionway you have the guests head and vanity with similar quality fittings and then on to the forward cabin. This features a berth that can be converted to either double or single below and fixed single above. Shelving, LED lighting, overhead hatch are standard features here. In the full length owners suite to port she features an aft, fore and aft double berth with generous storage beneath. A hanging locker and mirror complemented by the inboard shelving. Overhead hatch with block-out and aft opening port. Portside adjacent to the companionway features a settee with storage beneath. Moving forward again and to inboard you have generous linen storage, locker for he washer/dryer and easy access to the watermaker below. Forward on to the master ensuite which features the same European styled basin and tapware inboard, electric head and a dedicated shower of generous proportions forward again. The entire hull can be closed off with a sliding door to ensure the privacy of the owners below.

CABINS: Owners stateroom on portside, Queen double to starboard aft and double with single over to starboard forward.

SHOWER: Owners ensuite to port and guests dedicated separate shower and head to starboard.

HEAD: 1 x Raritan Electro Scan Electric head in owners head with Tank watch, fitted 12-2013,1 x electric Jabsco head, fitted 07-2015.

GALLEY: Galley is to starboard as you enter the large saloon. Features here are:
Double Stainless Steel sink.
Pressurised hot and cold fresh water.
Salt water tap.
Working surface in Corian.
Ample bench space for preparing meals.
Eno three burner gas cooker with oven and grill.
Storage lockers below, on bench level and above, allow for dry stores to be kept handy to the galley. More storage lockers close by for extra supplies on longer passages or for when guests are aboard.
A nice touch is the shelf that can open out into the cockpit while entertaining. There is a deck hatch above and a large glass panel at the rear of the galley area that brings in great natural lighting.

REFRIGERATION: Front opening Isotherm Refrigerator with stainless steel racking.
Large Esky that has cushion fitted that can be used internally or externally for extra seating when required. New 02-2014.
